Obituary: Lynn Ann Thomas

Lynn Ann Thomas passed away Wednesday June 3, 2020 in Wichita Falls. Lynn Ann was born in Olney, Texas on May 18, 1953. Her parents were Russel and Edith Bankhead. She graduated from Olney High School. Though she lived in other places, Olney was always her home. Lynn loved to play the piano and at the age of 40 enrolled at MSU and earned a degree in music with emphasis on piano performance. After graduation Lynn worked in the music department as adjunct faculty. She was accompanist to four choirs and many individuals. As much as she enjoyed these challenges she loved playing hymns in church. Her other passion was giving a voice to the dogs who were chained or otherwise left in the cold. She wrote many letters to the editor every winter. She was preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband, George. There are no services planned at this time.
