Judy Kay (Cooper) Ashbrook

Judy Kay (Cooper) Ashbrook, age 78, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, at St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Glenpool Church of Christ in Glenpool, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Judy was born on September 3, 1946, in Olney, Texas, to the late Lester Shorty and Mary Harriett (Williams) Cooper. She married her husband, James Ashbrook on, July 27, 1973, at the First Baptist Church in Olney, Texas; James preceded her in death on August 12, 1995. Judy was a caregiver for many senior citizens in Olney, Bridgeport, and Chico, Texas. She enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles and completing word search puzzles. Judy also learned to enjoy reading in her later years. She enjoyed cuddling with her fur babies Ozzie, Craig, and Tilley, in her chair while watching the television. Judy attended the Broken Arrow Church of Christ in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Ashbrook, her brother, Donald Sherrill Williams, and one sister, Elizabeth Ann Cooper.

Survivors include her son: Michael

James Ashbrook of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her daughter and son-in-law: Marlana and Stewart Lingle of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; her grandchildren: Isaiah and Ox; her sister Betty Carrol (Cooper) Omholt of Olney, Texas; and her nephew Jonathan Lee Omholt (Jessica) and her great-nephew Darby Omholt all of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
