Obituary: James Dalrymple

James Michael “Mike” Dalrymple, 74, passed from this life to his Eternal Home in the early morning hours of September 28, 2021, in Fort Worth, TX. He was born on April 10, 1947, to Alfred Terrell “Jack” Dalrymple and Esther Geraldine Johnson in Olney, TX.

Mike was an accountant and a member of the Optimist Club of Weatherford. Mike, along with business partner and dear friend J. W. Parsons, owned Arrowpoint Facility Services, Inc. He received his BA degree from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. He loved archaeology and hunting for artifacts and arrowheads. He was also a supplier of peach cobbler at the Peach Festival for many years.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Terrell “Jack” and Esther Geraldine Dalrymple.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Lesley (John) Doll of Holliston, MA, and son and daughter-in-law Jeff (Summar) Dalrymple of Weatherford, TX; sister, Becky Dalrymple of Olney, TX; and grandchildren Ryan Doll of Holliston, MA and Kennah Dalrymple of Weatherford, TX.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, TX, 76086. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at East Greenwood Cemetery.
