Obituary: Eva Evelyn Creed Gosnell

Eva Evelyn Creed Gosnell was born April 22, 1926 in Wellington, Texas. and passed away on August 19, 2021 at age 95 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was the daughter of Harry L. & Eva Boyett Creed of Wellington, Texas. Eva was a 1943 graduate of Quail High School, where she met the love of her life, Robert L. Gosnell. They were married on March 6, 1943 at the First Methodist Church in Wellington, Texas. Robert preceded her in death on April 24, 1974.

Eva was an active member of the Southside Baptist Church for many years. In addition to her family, she loved her church, the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Mavericks, working in the yard, reading, and bird watching.

Eva is survived by her children: her son Robert S. Gosnell and wife Ann, of La Porte, Texas; her daughters, Janis Gosnell Meza and husband Benny, of Lubbock, Texas; Judy Gosnell Willis of Wichita Falls, Texas; Karen Gosnell Malacara of Wichita Falls, Texas. Eva is also survived by her beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren: grandson Robert L. Gosnell II and wife Amber and their son Caleb, of Houston, Texas; granddaughter Jennifer Gosnell Aguiluz and her husband Matt Aguiluz and their two sons, Felix and Adam, of New Orleans, Louisiana; grandson Jacob Willis of Pilot Point, Texas, and his two daughters, Hannah and Delilah; grandson Tanner Willis of Wichita Falls, Texas; and grandson Zane Malacara of Arlington, Texas.

Eva was preceded in death by two sisters, Dora Creed Johnson and Mary Ruth Creed; and three brothers, Harry Creed, Raymond Creed, and Jahue Creed.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at Southside Baptist Church with Andy Graham, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
