Obituary: Ed Anderson

Ed Anderson, age 86, died Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Hendricks, officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Lynn Creek Cemetery in Jack County. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Ed was born on February 24, 1935, in Seminole, Oklahoma to the late Raymond and Alice (Parks) Anderson. He moved to Olney in 1975 from Washington State. He and Cora Burt were married on July 4, 1975 in Olney. Ed had worked in manufacturing for Simpson Lumber until his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Olney Assembly of God. He had a passion for woodworking and loved to go fishing, camping and gardening. Ed was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles Anderson, George Anderson and Carl Anderson; and one sister, Louise Wolford.

Ed is survived by his wife, Cora Anderson of Olney; one son, Randy Anderson of Olympia, Washington; one granddaughter, Savannah Anderson of Olympia, Washington; one brother, Richard Anderson of Olympia, Washington; sisters-in-law, Peggy Anderson of Athens, Texas, Minnie Turner of Denton, Texas, Geraldine Anderson of Shelton, Washington; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl and Ann Burt of Oak Point, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
