Michael Tyler, age 57 of Wellington, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017.
Graveside services will be at 2 PM on Monday, August 7, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery with Kenneth Knowles officiating. Burial is under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
Michael was born on October 29, 1959, in Wellington to Roy Hershal “R.H.” and Mildred (Stafford) Tyler. He lived on his parent's farm for many years, but loved to travel, especially to Red River, New Mexico. His love for travel led him on many adventures.
Michael was a Ham radio operator for many years and loved to talk to people. He never met a stranger. He was a former Deputy for the Sheriff’s Department in Clay County and was the owner of a cable company for several years.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Tyler and wife, Jennifer, and Chris Tyler and wife, Angela; one brother, Bill Tyler and wife, Jan; two sisters, Marsha Leeper and husband, Dennis, and Kathy Mauldin and husband, Charles; four grandchildren, Fisher, Carson, Caleb and Courtney; and numerous extended family and friends.
