Mederra Britt, Jr.

Mederra Britt, Jr., age 58, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at his home in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney with Chad Edgington, pastor of First Baptist Church in Olney, officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Mederra was born on June 16, 1963, in Wichita Falls to the late Mederra Britt Sr. and Elnora (White) Britt. He graduated from Olney High School and attended Lincoln Technical School. Mederra later completed his correspondence course work in Automotive Mechanics.

In his younger years, Mederra enjoyed working on cars. He had a sense of humor and did not mind making you the butt of his practical joke. Mederra was a strong individual who walked the road that was laid before him. He was a loving and devoted son and brother.

Mederra is survived by his sister, Angela Britt of Olney, Texas; his aunt, Lorine Hunter of Quitman, Texas; his aunt, Shirley Clark and husband Fred of San Antonio, Texas; his aunt, Melinda Walker of Del Valle, Texas; and his aunt, Dimple King of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by many cousins and special friends.
