Mary Lou Carr

Mary Lou Carr, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Lunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Southside Baptist Church in Olney with Andy Graham, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Mary Lou was born on January 22, 1950, in Olney, Texas, to the late Floyd and Juanita Inez (Owens) Corley. She was a lifetime resident of Olney and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends and always put others first. She loved to crochet, work jigsaw puzzles, being outdoors and was always ready to go places. Mary Lou loved her time working at Stewart’s Food Store where she got to know many of her customers.

Mary Lou is survived by one son, Jess Carr of Missouri; three daughters, Christine Blackburn of North Carolina, Ramona Routon and husband Johnny of Olney, and Bobbye Sue Withers and husband Joe of Longmont, Colorado; six grandchildren, Brittany Maxwell, Daffney Judge and husband Rowdy, Michael Prestridge, Devin Prestridge and wife Amber, Johnny-Joe Routon, Maverick Grace Withers; two great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda Sue Horry and husband Terry; two nephews, Judson Horry and Scott Horry; and her aunt, Elizabeth Abbott of Olney.
