Marjory Mahler

Marjory Mahler, age 88, passed away on April 21, 2016 at Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas. Memorial services will be at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church in Olney with Harrell Braddock, Jr., pastor, officiating. Private family burial will precede the memorial service. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Marjory was born in Olney, Texas on December 31, 1927 to the late Marvin Alto Bailey and Gladys May (Brown) Bailey. She graduated from Olney High School and was a lifetime resident of Olney. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Marjory married Herman Farrell Mahler on July 3, 1947 in Archer City, Texas. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1989. Marjory had worked for Lovett-Meredith Clinic and assisted Herman at the Auto Parts store and at Olney Hardware. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, James Bailey and a sister, Golda Cawthon.

Marjory is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kobye and Bill Hannis of Olney; her son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Valerie Mahler of Olney; three grandchildren: Robert “Bo” Hannis of Ft. Worth, Lacey Hannis Miller and husband Scott of Ft. Worth and Ky Mahler of Olney.
