Lanny Robert Ragland

Lanny Robert Ragland, Sr., age 75, died December 11, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services were held December 17, 2020 at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Officiating his services was Gibb Weaver of Lubbock Bacon Heights Baptist Church.

Lanny was born April 8, 1945 in Graham, Texas to Bob and Bernice (Strickland) Ragland. He is survived by his wife, Kay Ragland of Lubbock, sisters Carlita Pemberton of Olney, Linda Forrester and husband Glen of Wichita Falls, son Bobby Ragland and wife Kymmi of Graham, stepson Michael Cantrell and wife Melissa, stepdaughter Michelle Cantrell all of Lubbock, stepson David Taylor and wife Dina of Wichita Falls, stepdaughters Debbie Dickin and husband Carl, Darla Dobbs and husband Robert of Olney; Grandchildren Robby Ragland, Payton Ragland and Caleb Ragland all of Lubbock, and many step grandchildren.

Lanny was a mechanic for York Tire of Lubbock for many years. His days of leisure he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also did well with competition barbequing—winning many events and praise for a job well done.
