Julia Naomi Jackson

Julia Naomi Jackson passed away January 1, 2016. She was born August 21, 1915 in Richland Springs, Texas to Willie Howard Blount and Malisa St. Clair Blount. She married James Thomas “Jimmy” Jackson on November 17, 1933 in Olney, Texas. Naomi was the mother of James Walter Jackson and Glenda Jackson Page. She moved from Olney to Grand Prairie, Texas in 1991, previously living in Henrietta, Texas and Centralia, Illinois. Naomi was a member of Westridge Fellowship Church, Grand Prairie.

Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jimmy, sisters: Hudia Blount, Elois Wade Dunnerman, Ruth Bush, Mildred Gore and brothers: Willie Frank Blount and B.C. Blount.

She is survived by son and wife, James and Jane Jackson of The Woodlands, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Benny Page of Grand Prairie. Naomi was a loving “Memaw” to 4 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, LaVerne Blount Wood of Olney; brother-in-law J.M. Gore of Wichita Falls, sisters-in-law Joyce Blount of Battle Creek, Michigan, Iva Jackson Carpenter of Magnolia, Edith Bernhardt Jackson of Olney and many loving nieces and nephews.
