Jeanett Davis

Jeanett Davis, age 87, died Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Olney with Rev. Harrell Braddock, Jr., pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Jeanett was born on March 3, 1929 in Young County, Texas to the late Early Lee Arnold and Pauline (Jones) Arnold. She attended school in Elbert and Proffitt and graduated from Throckmorton High School. She married Troy Eugene Davis on May 9, 1947 in Elbert. They moved to the farm west of Olney in 1948 from Gruver and lived there for many years. Jeanett was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Unity Sunday School Class and Sue’s Quilters. She loved and did a lot of sewing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law and neighbor and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Troy on May 5, 1998.

Jeanett is survived by her two daughters: Paula Jean Schroeder of Weatherford, Texas and Patsy Ann Evans and husband Pat of Colby, Kansas; four grandchildren: Jeff Dalrymple and wife Summar of Weatherford, Texas, Kim Chain and husband Tom of Cheney, Kansas, Lesley Doll and husband John of Holliston, Massachusetts, Chris Evans and wife Sara of Pocatello, Idaho; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Edna Earl Arnold of Wichita Falls, Texas and JoAn Key of Olney, Texas.

Family visitation will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.
