Ivalene Bruce Pierce

Ivalene Bruce Pierce

On Sunday May 15th, 2022, Ivalene Bruce Pierce, loving wife, mother and grandmother, left us to be eternally with God The Father. She is now forever whole.

Ivalene was born on September 11th, 1936 in Lake Creek Texas, to Ivan and Alene (Morrow) Bruce. She married Jimmy Pierce on June 11th, 1953 in Knox City Texas. They went on to have six children. Ivalene was a devoted mother and homemaker to not only six children but also two more that she raised as her own.

Once her children were all in school, she returned to Benjamin High School where she received her diploma. She then attended Vernon College.

Ivalene was an artist in many ways. She loved painting, enjoyed sewing, crocheting and gardening, but mostly she loved the Lord, her Savior.

Her beautiful life will be cherished by the many she leaves behind. Her husband Jimmy Pierce; her two sons, Billy Pierce and wife Dena of Megargel and John Pierce of Olney; her two daughters, Twylah Robertson and husband Andy of Iowa Park, Misty Pierce and Herb of Olney, and bonus daughter Gail Culifer of McKinney. Twenty grandchildren, Jill, Doug, Kristi, Sterlina, Tres, Josh, Katie, Jason, Chere, John, Ryan, Cody, Crystal, Jerica, Jaelyn, Savannah, Samantha, Melinda, Dustin and Julia, and several great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Many who have left us will be there to greet her. Her Father and Mother, Ivan and Alene. Brothers, Lee, Rob, and Steven. Sister, Julia Ann. Two sons, Jimmy Jr. and Joey. Grandson Jason. A home coming.

A funeral service will be held at Lunn’s Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 11:00am with Chad Edgington officiating. Burial will follow at Benjamin Cemetery, at 2:30 in Benjamin, Texas, under the direction of the Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Beyond Faith Hospice, 604 Oak Street Suite 105, Graham, Texas 76450.
