Olney ~ Joan Rose Miller, age 72, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at her home in Olney, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Restland Cemetery in Olney with Warren Rabb officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney. Joan was born on May 15, 1946 in New Castle, Delaware to the late Harry Peterson Hines and Alice Virginia (Dorsey) Hines. She married John Kerry Miller on September 5, 1964 in Elkton, Maryland. They moved to Olney in 1975 and began their new life in Texas raising their children and being involved in local business and community. Joan was the family matriarch and was totally devoted to her family. She was an entrepreneur and loved interior decorating. She also loved dancing, photography, gardening and painting. Survivors include her husband, John Kerry Miller of Olney, Texas; one sister, Carol Hines of Clearwater, Florida; her children: John Brian Miller of Olney, Texas, Darla Rabb and husband Warren of Mathis, Texas, Tonya Beyer and husband Frank of Fort Worth, Texas, Shawn Miller and wife Joy of Arlington, Texas, Johna Hogle and husband Lance of Lubbock, Texas and Joseph Shane Miller of Lubbock, Texas; her grandchildren: Amber Underwood and husband Scott of New Braunfels, Texas, Ashton Moff of Corpus Christi, Texas, Landon Hogle of Galveston, Texas, Courtney Moya of Corpus Christi, Texas, Cody Osbon of Bowie, Texas, Lee Beyer of Olney, Texas, Jordan Brattlof and husband Brian of Corpus Christi, Texas, Trista Miller and husband Emanuel of Wichita, Kansas, Mason Leal of Corpus Christi, Texas, Tyler Rabb of Corpus Christi, Texas, John Spencer Miller of San Antonio, Texas, Hannah Rabb of Corpus Christi, Texas, Sage Leal of Corpus Christi, Texas, Madeleine Hogle of Lubbock, Texas, Presley Leal of Corpus Christi, Texas, Kathryn Miller of Arlington, Texas, Cade Hogle of Lubbock, Texas and Kristina Miller of Arlington, Texas; her great-grandchildren: Kadence Underwood, Kase Underwood and Kennedy Underwood all of New Braunfels, Texas, Nicholas Portillo of Wichita, Kansas, Lindley Hogle of San Angelo, Texas, Hayden Moya and Nash Juarez both of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Eve Portillo of Wichita, Kansas.
