Health Fairs Coming to Olney, Newcastle

Olney Hamilton Hospital will bring free and low-cost health screenings to Olney and Newcastle in October as part of its community health outreach.

The Olney Health Fair will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Hamilton Hospital EMS Building.

The hospital is offering free laboratory work, including screenings for glucose and cholesterol, as well as free blood pressure checks and health information and resources.

Flu shots will be available for $25 while supplies last.

Hospital officials are encouraging residents to take advantage of the event even if they are feeling healthy, promoting the fair under the theme, “Your Health. Our Priority.”

OHH Interim Administrator Stasha Siegert told hospital board members that this year’s Olney event will be held in the EMS building.

The hospital will also take its health fair to Newcastle on Oct. 15, with that event held at the school, its customary location.

The Olney fair will be held from 7-10 a.m. Oct. 10 at the Hamilton Hospital EMS Building. For more information, residents can call OHH at 940-564-3188.
