Cub Football Wakes Fans from Summer
It’s a sign of summer ending when the Cubs break the quiet morning with shouts, grunts, and athletes excitedly talking between plays. Cub Football is back in Olney, and Head Coach Dustin Altmiller is in his second year.
Players and coaches have had a chance to settle into the new spread offense. Coach Altmiller came from Olney and has returned to save the Cub football program. The spread offense replaces the veer and running program that has been a Cub staple for decades.
The spread offense will offer a more exciting spectacle and more chances for big plays downfield. Fall athletics is right around the corner with Cub football and Lady Cub volleyball; dust off your Cub and Lady Cub gear and show up loud and proud this season.
