Newcastle Parents Tackle New Football Season

Newcastle ISD hosted the annual Tackled by Moms and Decals with Dads. The annual event lasts all night and begins with Bobcats football players being tackled by their moms, who then crash into a tackling dummy. Coach Isiah Archer explained this helps show what players go through during practice. Next, the Bobcats retire to the weight room to decorate their helmets with their dads, affixing the traditional green N on the side and other decals with great care. After the families enjoy a meal, students participate in a lock-in where they play games, make memories, and enjoy other activities that last until the morning. The evening was a fun family activity that Newcastle families look forward to each year.
