GRT Presents Summer Musical ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ This Weekend
The curtain will rise on Graham Regional Theatre’s annual summer musical when Little Shop of Horrors opens Friday, June 26, at the Graham Memorial Auditorium.
Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, June 26; 7 p.m. Saturday, June 27; and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28.
One of musical theater’s most beloved cult classics, Little Shop of Horrors tells the story of Seymour Krelborn, a shy florist shop employee who discovers an unusual plant that appears to promise fame and fortune. As the plant grows, however, so do the challenges it brings, leading to a story packed with comedy, memorable songs and unexpected twists.
This year’s cast includes Olney thespians Summer Branum and Charleigh Krajca, who perform alongside actors from communities throughout Young and Wichita counties. The production showcases the regional nature of Graham Regional Theatre, which draws performers, volunteers and audiences from across the area.
The annual summer musical has become a favorite tradition for theater lovers, and organizers expect this year’s production to continue that tradition with strong performances, lively music and plenty of laughs.
Whether audiences are longtime fans of the show or experiencing it for the first time, Little Shop of Horrors promises a fun-filled evening at the Graham Memorial Auditorium.
