Karrie Canada Thanks Community for New Car
To the Anonymous Donor(s): There truly are not enough words to express how grateful I am for the kindness and generosity you have shown me. I wanted to take a moment to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping make something happen that has taken such a huge weight off of my shoulders.
A GoFundMe was created to help me, Karrie Canada, raise money toward getting a reliable vehicle, and through the support of so many caring people, $1,065 was raised. Then through my church, First Baptist Church of Olney, I learned that an anonymous donor had graciously reached out wanting to help me get dependable transportation. Hearing that someone I may never even know personally cared enough to help me in such a life-changing way touched my heart more than I can put into words.
With the help and support of many people, I was blessed to purchase a 2017 Ford Escape, and I am beyond thankful. Please know that I will take very good care of it and cherish this blessing every single day.
This vehicle is so much more than transportation to me. It means peace of mind. It means being able to make it to my doctor appointments without worrying. It means continuing the volunteer work I love doing, especially at the Refuge during the summer where I spend so much of my time serving others. It means helping my son get back and forth to work and college when he returns in the fall. It also means being able to take my mom to her appointments since she is no longer able to drive herself.
For a long time, transportation has been a source of stress and worry, and because of your kindness, that burden has been lifted. You may never fully know how much this gift means or how many lives your generosity will touch beyond my own, but I hope you know that your kindness has made a difference not only in my life, but in my family’s life as well.
