Olney ISD Board of Trustees, Place 6

“This community welcomed me as a child and helped shape the person I am today. Through our schools, sports programs, and the support of caring neighbors, I found stability, accountability, and encouragement that carried me into adulthood.

Now, as a parent and community member, I want to give back. I am committed to serving our schools and supporting the families, teachers, and students who make this community strong. I want to help ensure every child has the same foundation of support, opportunity, and belonging that meant so much to me.

Together, we can continue building schools and a community we are proud to call home.”

As a former Olney High School graduate, it is an honor to seek election to the Olney ISD Board of Trustees. I look forward to much continued success for the students of Olney ISD and would be thrilled to serve in this important role.

After graduating from OHS in 2012, I attended the University of Texas at Dallas where I received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting. Upon graduation, I began my career as a commercial credit analyst at Comerica Bank in Dallas and quickly transitioned into a commercial loan officer role in Comerica’s Business Banking loan group. After the birth of our first daughter in 2018, my wife Jill and I chose to move home to Olney where I began working in the finance department at Air Tractor supporting international sales efforts. For the past five years, I have held the position of Operational Excellence Manager where I help lead the company’s continuous improvement journey. This role allows me to be involved in all aspects of the organization from day-to-day operations to long-term strategic planning with the goal of identifying and solving problems that help fulfill Air Tractor’s mission of helping feed, clothe, and protect the world. At home, Jill and I have been blessed with three beautiful daughters, Korley, Kendall, and Kate, who offer us a busy schedule and more joy than we could possibly deserve.

Outside of home and work, it has been a privilege serving our community over the past eight years. As a current member and past president of Keep Olney Beautiful, I have joined other volunteers in helping enrich the lives of Olney citizens through beautification projects, most notably the construction of the new Olney city pool. My family and I are members of First Baptist Church Olney where I serve as a deacon, usher, TeamKID leader, and a member of the stewardship committee. I have been involved with Virginia’s House mentor program for four years and have found immense joy in coaching my daughter’s youth softball, t-ball, and basketball teams. Serving in these various roles, learning new concepts, and working closely with so many wonderful people in our community has been fulfilling for me on many levels.

If elected, I intend to join our existing board of trustees in helping create a culture of excellence where all students are supported, inspired, and prepared to lead in their future endeavors. I will challenge learning and coaching environments to instill strong moral standards in all students so that they may represent themselves and the school district with pride. I will assist in setting clear goals and policies that foster well-rounded de- velopment to enhance opportunities for all students as they progress through the school system and into adulthood. I will lean on my financial acumen and project management capabilities to help guide decision-making. Finally, I vow to work closely with my fellow trustees to challenge the systems and policies in place to create stronger conditions for success in all activities our students participate in.

I am grateful for the education and development that I received as a student years ago and I am proud of the success Olney ISD has achieved in the years since. I am thankful for the wonderful teachers, coaches, and administration that pour into these students each day helping them become positive members of society. The future is bright for Olney ISD and I appreciate your support in this year’s election as we continue to raise the standards of excellence for our students.
