Junior Altruistic Makes Downtown Bloom
The Olney Junior Altruistic Club met early last Thursday morning for a light breakfast and fellowship followed by teams breaking up and heading all over downtown and to the parks to spruce up flower beds and rose bushes.
The meet up is part of the club’s goal to keep spots in Olney looking beautiful. The club used the meet up to deliver geraniums, which are sold as part of their annual fund-raising drive.
Funds acquired are used to help other nonprofits in Olney, like the Olney-Young County Senior Cub Center, the Olney Community Library & Arts Center, and the Olney Volunteer Fire Department, to name a few.
