OJH Sends Team to TMSCA State
Olney Junior High’s TMSCA group braved the wind and rain to compete in their final state qualifying meet in Abilene on Saturday, March 7.
OJH took first place in the Sweepstakes match, besting eight 5A, 4A, 3A, and 2A schools. Team honors included 1st place Number Sense Team, 1st place Calculator Applications Team, 1st place athematics Team, and 1st place Science Team.
Individual Awards won included: 8th Grade - Zeph Tejada 1st Number Sense, 1st Calculator Applications, and 1st Mathematics; Laney Kimbro 1st Science and 4th Calculator Applications, Leigha Hampton 2nd Calculator Applications and 9th Mathematics, Trent Berngen 2nd Mathematics and 5th Number Sense, Kate Santibanez 2nd Science, Jaxon Bedford 5th Calculator Applications, 7th Mathematics, and 7th Science, Caly Johnson 6th Calculator Applications, Clara Symank 6th Science, Libby Lane 8th Calculator Applications, Miles Branum 8th Science 7th Grade - Denalee Wales 1st Calculator Applications, 4th tie Number Sense, 8th Mathematics, Wyatt Stephens 1st Mathematics, 2nd Number Sense, and 5th Calculator Applications, Jackson Dinwiddie 3rd Science, 4th tie Number Sense, 4th Mathematics, Janie Sykora 10th Calculator Applications, and Caroline Stewart 10th Science 6th Grade - Caroline Jeske 1st Mathematics, McKinlee Williams 2nd Science, Harper Bitner 3rd Mathematics and 6th Calculator Applications, Jack Wells 3rd Science, Jessa Branum 4th Science, Rylan Keeter 5th Science and 6th Mathematics, Magnolia Caffey 8th Number Sense, 8th Science and 10th Mathematics.
