Keep Olney Beautiful Thanks Community for 2025 Support
Dear Olney Citizen, The Keep Olney Beautiful Committee thanks you for your continued support in 2025. Through beautification, clean-up, and renovation projects, we aim to continue raising the bar for small town America. We appreciate each one of you for joining us in this mission and look forward to rejuvenation for years to come.
The highlight of 2025 was the opportunity to partner with fellow citizens to honor our local veterans through new downtown banners. It was incredibly special for the Committee to work through this project as we gathered names and information of current and former Olney citizens who served and fought bravely for our freedom. We appreciate the fundraising efforts from friends and family to help the community recognize those that we owe so much to, and we look forward to seeing these raised proudly each year. We also give special thanks to Brazos and Texas- New Mexico Power for hanging our rotation of banners throughout the year. Other key projects for 2025 included partnering with the city and other donors to replace and repair playground equipment at Tommy Perkins Park, landscaping at the new city pool, and new park lighting at Tom Griffin Park to provide an added layer of safety during the early morning and late evening hours.
Keep Olney Beautiful was thrilled to see the new city pool well attended in its first full summer. The Committee appreciates all those involved in maintaining the pool and managing the day-to-day operations. Looking ahead to 2026, the Committee is actively researching and discussing new project ideas. These include new recreational activities at Tom Griffin Park, small-scale parks and/or playground equipment throughout Olney, new city entrance signs on the north and south ends of town, and renovation efforts to the Olney Civic Center. As always, our goal is to be mindful of need and overall community impact, and we will earnestly consider these ideas and others as fundraising Keep Olney Beautiful vows to aim high as we continue our work in making Olney a wonderful place to live and visit. We thank you all for your partnership and support. As always, we welcome feedback and ideas to help brighten the place we call home. If you wish to contribute, please send your tax-deductible donations to Keep Olney Beautiful, P.O. Box 501 Olney, TX 76374. Thank you for believing in our mission and for being an integral part of our success.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Kyle Turner President Keep Olney Beautiful
