Archer & Gunn Celebrates Five Years on Main Street With Party, Concert

Archer and Gunn Mercantile, located at 122 E. Main St. in Olney, on Saturday hosted an evening of discounted Christmas shopping, light bites, drinks and a concert featuring local singer-songwriter Race Ricketts and his bandmate, Nick Brumley, to mark the store’s five-year anniversary.

The two artists are popular locals who perform on a nationwide stage and come back home frequently to play for events in Olney.

Artisan Sherri Lane, craftswoman and silversmith, was at the store to demonstrate how to work with silver and other fine metals.

The evening was a success but saw a small dip in attendance due to the bitterly cold weather.
