Whitesboro Debate Results

On Nov. 8, the Olney Debate Team traveled to Whitesboro HS to compete in a tournament. Sawyer Edgington, Aubree Englishbee, Briana Lombardo competed in LD. Edgington had a 3-0 record, won first place, and had perfect speaker points. Second place went to Lombardo, also with a 3-0 record. Englishbee came in fourth place.

The debaters who competed in CX are as follows: Maddox Johnson and Will Caffey, Colby Johnson and Darla Castillo, and Jackson Spurlock-Fenner and Brylee Englishbee.

First place went to Maddox Johnson and Caffey with a 3-0 record, and Maddox had perfect speaker points. Colby Johnson and Castillo earned third place. Fourth place went to Spurlock- Fenner and Brylee Englishbee.

Morgan Simmons and Ava Stewart competed in Informative Speaking, where Simmons came in second and Stewart earned third.

The next tournament will be in Holliday on Dec. 13. Way to go, Cubs!
