Early voting begins Oct. 20 for Constitutional Amendments

Young County voters can begin casting ballots for the November 4 general election on Monday, Oct. 20, when early voting by personal appearance opens across Texas. Early voting runs through Friday, Oct. 31, with polls open at the Young County Annex in Graham and the Olney Library.

Voters may use either location regardless of their home precinct, according to Elections Administrator Kaitlyn Mosley. Both sites will be open during the state-mandated early voting period, with hours set by the County.

The Nov. 4 ballot will feature 17 proposed constitutional amendments, along with any local contests. Polls on Election Day will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across the county.

Voters planning to cast a ballot by mail must submit an Application for Ballot by Mail to the Young County Elections Office by Friday, Oct. 24. Eligible voters include those 65 and older, people with disabilities, and those who will be away from the County during the entire early voting period and on Election Day.

All voters are required to present an acceptable form of photo identification at the polls. Those without one may present a supporting form of ID and complete a Reasonable Impediment Declaration.

For more information, voters may contact the Young County Elections Office at (940) 521-9483 or visit the county’s elections webpage.
