Cubs Host Haskell in Final Scrimmage

The Olney High School [OHS] Cubs recently hosted the Haskell Indians in the last scrimmage of the season. The Cubs travel to Cisco High School to battle the Reagan County Owls in the season opener.

The game begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, at Chelsey Stadium at 901999 W 3rd St. in Cisco. The drive from Olney takes about an hour and 20 minutes. It’s advised to leave early in case of traffic. Be sure to wear your Cub gear and get loud.

The Cubs’ defense had another solid performance against the Indians, with a few exceptions of breakaway plays. Offense looked better this week with some improvements in the run and passing game. If the receivers get in sync with the quarterback, look for some explosive plays downfield during their matchup with the Owls.

Fight on, Cubs!
