Bobcats Host St. Jo Panthers for Preseason Scrimmage

The Newcastle Bobcats hosted the St. Jo Panthers in a preseason tuner. The Bobcats looked very strong against St. Jo, and rightly so, with many veterans returning this season, offering a plethora of experience on the field.

The Bobcats had a slow start passing during the matchup but worked out the preseason jitters by mid-scrimmage. The Bobcat running game was on point and very strong with more than a few huge breakaway running plays.

The Bobcats really shined on defense and had the Panther offense scrambling on most plays, and catching the runner and the quarterback in the back field on more than a few occasions.

Look for the Bobcats to go deep into the playoffs and to be in the running for a district title this season.

Good luck this season, Bobcats!

The Bobcats have several great options to rotate quarterbacks this season. Even being pulled down from behind, Rylan Hinojosa still completes the pass to the receiver. Photo by Will Sadler

The Bobcat defense is on the prowl this season. The team has some fast defenders, able to run down the ball carriers and quarterbacks in the backfield like a bobcat chasing down its prey in the wild. Photo by Will Sadler
