Olney EMS: Excellence in Emergency Medical Services
Olney EMS is a vital component of Olney Hamilton Hospital, proudly serving the City of Olney, Texas, and surrounding communities within northern Young County. Covering a primary response area of approximately 900 square miles, Olney EMS provides both 911 emergency and non-emergency transport services to a population of around 3,500 residents.
Operating 24/7 with a dedicated full-time staff of eight skilled professionals and a fleet of three ambulances, Olney EMS is committed to delivering prompt, high-quality care. The team brings a wealth of experience and professionalism, making them a trusted name in emergency medical response.
Over the past five years, the department has seen remarkable growth. A major milestone was reached in 2022 with the construction of a stateof- the-art EMS headquarters. More than just a facility, it serves as a second home for medics during shifts and includes a modern meeting and education room to support continuous training and development.
This vision was brought to life under the leadership of Tom Wright, EMT-P, whose dedication and foresight transformed an ambitious goal into a lasting reality. Tom has been an invaluable member of the Olney Hamilton Hospital family for over a decade, shaping the future of emergency services in the region.
Supporting Tom is an exceptional team of professionals: Shannon Wright, Jordan Wiley, Shanda Morcom, Mark Hale, Dalayna Riddle, Jenny Tomlinson, and several outstanding PRN staff members. Together, they form a cohesive, compassionate, and skilled unit committed to the health and safety of their community.
Olney EMS continues to grow and innovate; driven by a team whose dedication knows no bounds. Their service, leadership, and community spirit make them a cornerstone of emergency care in Young County.
