Olney Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary Attends State Conference
Six members of the Olney Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary packed their leis and headed to Frisco last month to “Catch the Aloha Spirit” at the Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers (TAHV) Annual Meeting, held May 19–21.
Attending from Olney were Tami Harvey, Diana Geish, Becky Spurlock, Margie Snyder, Gail Spears, and Auxiliary President Nita Hearne.
The group joined hundreds of healthcare volunteers from across Texas for three days of education, fellowship, and networking This year’s convention kicked off with a Uniform Luncheon, where volunteers donned their hospital colors and celebrated the installation of new TAHV officers.
Breakout sessions covered important topics like mental health in older populations, scam prevention, and effective volunteer coordination strategies.
Attendees were encouraged to “BYOI” — bring your own ideas — to share with others during small group discussions.
The volunteers also enjoyed evening events like Bingo Night, the President’s Party, raffles, and a lively silent auction.
