Amity Club Chooses Officers at May Meeting

The Amity Club met Thursday, May 1 at Hamilton Street Church of Christ fellowship hall. Hostesses were Program Committee members: Donna Sullivan, Marilyn Norris, Margie Snyder and Carol Vorel.

President Carolyn Penn called the meeting to order and the Club Collect was recited by members. A new member, Carol Ballard, was introduced. A business meeting was held before the luncheon and installation of new officers. After the wonderful lunch and fellowship, outgoing president Carolyn Penn proceeded with the installation of officers, presenting each with a different flower while telling them their duties.

New officers installed for 2025 and 2026 year are: President, Donna Sullivan; 1st Vice President, Carol Vorel; 2nd Vice President, Judy Moberly; Recording Secretary, Margie Snyder; Corresponding Secretary, Marulyn Norris, Treasurer, Phyllis Whitsitt; and Reporter, Judy Averett.

The members present were Roslyn Fowler, Nita Hearne, Judy Moberly, Marilyn Norris, Carolyn Penn, Margie Snyder, Jeanie Spivey, Donna Sullivan, Carol Vorel, Phyllis Whitsitt, Judi Winslow, Carol Ballard, and Judy Averett.
