You, like me, have probably been hearing about this being the end times ever since growing up. In no other time has prophecy and the word of God about the return seemed so accurate.

2 Timothy says: “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

“They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.”

It is clear to those who read the Bible that there is a veil of fog over the multitudes who can not see what is plain to see. As followers of Christ, it is our responsibility to try to reach those who are lost to Christ and the teachings of the Bible.

It’s not easy because things are becoming harder and harder for Christ’s followers – but no one ever promised it would be easy. In fact, just the opposite. It’s really sad to me to witness the things I am seeing today and knowing so many are going to be lost from salvation.

The devil doesn’t come dressed in rags, he comes in fine robes and speaks with a silver tongue and with knowledge of the Bible, which makes him so good at deceiving people, especially in this age of distractions.

We need to be spreading Christ’s good news of salvation and supporting our Christian brothers and sisters. We don’t know the hour of Jesus’ return but it certainly looks closer to the time than ever before in history.
