New library app helps parents track books

The Olney Community Library and Arts Center is updating its website and introducing a new online system that will allow parents to monitor and choose which books their children can check out, library director Lori Cox said.

The online book monitoring system for parents is called Bookmark and parents recently received a link from the company to set up accounts, she said.

While most parents have set up accounts, none have placed restrictions on any books, she said.

The Library also received a $20,000 grant from the Priddy Foundation that will help cover the rising cost of insurance, she said.

The Library plans to bring back Dueling Pianos as a Valentine’s Day themed fundraiser in February, she said.
