OHS HOCO marked with parade, bonfire
This year’s Olney High School Homecoming celebration included a parade down Main Street and a bonfire at Tom Griffin Park.
Many attendees were happy to see the bonfire had been brought back for Homecoming week, as it had been canceled due to drought conditions.
The Pride of Olney High School Marching Brand proudly led the way down Main Street, followed by a spirit-filled floats carrying the fall sports teams, cheerleader squads, and nominees for Homecoming Queen and Homecoming Hunk.
The parade marched from the Olney Saving Building to the OHS Gym and Cub Stadium. After the parade, students and the community gathered at the bonfire for festivities that included naming the Hunk – Olney Varsity Cub football player Camron McComack.
As the POOHS played and the crowd cheered, the OHS Cheerleaders performed cheers and dance routines. A fun and spirited evening was had by all who attended.
