Cross country team on track to reach goals
Cross Country has been hard at work to make this season more successful than the last, and the team is holding true to its goals.
“Overall we have had several runners medal throughout the season,” Coach Mollie Pace said.
Not only has the team been trying their best to improve their race pace and race starts, but they have already begun to go farther than they have before.
“We have competed in two meets so far this year that were our best,” Pace said. “Munday and Lipan Meet. We were also successful in our own meet today!”
Not only does the coach see the positive change within the team, but its veteran members do, as well.
“I think we have definitely improved from last year,” Adrian Gonzalez, team member, said. “I think our improvement is, although not fast, it’s definitely happening.”
Though they are already leaving their mark on this program, they still are not ready to back down and are determined to make even more milestones.
“Our runners are putting in the work each week and continuing to push themselves,” Pace said. “We are so proud of their determination and dedication!”
