POOHS tests new ‘Red’ routine
The Pride of Olney High School marching band has been working on its new marching performance entitled “Red,” with choreography by Josh Shaw and music by Dallas Bayless. The show consists of four parts: Wrath, Passion, Love, and Courage.
The band is led onto the field by senior drum major Lily Thames and junior drum major Sawyer Edgington.
“I think the band is doing really really well for us only being two games in. I really think we have a chance to make it to the state competition for marching band,” Thames said. “Although there have been some setbacks, I really think we’re on the right track to being incredible.”
The band has its first festival performance at Bulldog Stadium in Burkburnett on Saturday, September 28.
