JV Cubs Battle the Petrolia Pirates
The OHS Junior Varsity Cubs hosted a scrimmage against the Petrolia Pirates. The Cubs looked solid on offense and defense with just one area needing the most work tackles.
It seemed play after play, the Cubs missed tackles and a few missed tackles that led to yardage gained for the Pirates. The Cubs’ defense was very solid and the team menaced the Pirates’ quarterback with sacks and fumbles.
The scrimmage seemed evenly matched and the Cubs continue to learn a new fourman front on defense and a spread offense, both of which would make for a more dynamic Cub football team. Look for the Cubs to put in a solid performance this season and as they get experienced with the new systems.
It will show on the scoreboard. Fight on, JV Cubs!
