Olney Booster Club looks for sponsors for game radio, TV broadcasts
The Olney Booster Club has arranged for all Cub Football and Cub Volleyball district games to be broadcast on 104.3 FM, and to simulcast the video on the NFHS streaming app and is looking for sponsors to offset the costs of the broadcasts, First Baptist Church of Olney Pastor Chad Edgington said.
The Booster Club had signed up The Olney Enterprise, Tower Extrusions, Attorney Chris Baran, Brazos Communications Archer and Gunn Mercantile, Attorney Dan Branum, First United Methodist Church, Here’s Your Sign Olney Interbank and Fort Belknap, ahead of the Cubs’ season opener against the Alford Bulldogs last Friday at Alford. The Booster Club will be purchasing airtime and selling sponsorships as a fundraiser. The radio station, 104.3 FM has a powerful signal that covers all of Olney, Archer City, and Wichita Falls, Dr. Edgington said. NFHS [National Federation of High School Associations] Network is available as an annual and monthly subscription and gives subscribers access to live regular season and postseason sporting events for Olney High School, on-demand access to games, and supports participating schools’ programs, the network said.
“We will be producing commercials to run during breaks for the major sponsors,” he said. Anyone interested in sponsoring the games should contact Dr. Edgington at 940-564-5594.
