Library welcomes student art show April 17-21
Olney Community Library and Arts Center will host an Art Showcase featuring projects from students in classes at Olney High School from April 17-21. Student art projects will be displayed throughout the library during the week. The public is invited to attend.
'At OHS, we have the opportunity for our students to express their artistic abilities and display their skills throughout several classrooms and pathways,' OHS Principal Brianne Brock said. The student's classes and their teachers are: Art, taught by Cassie Johnson; Floral Design, taught by Brady Reid; Machining, taught by Casey Keeter; and Principles of Human Services, taught by Jasmine Carty.
'We are looking forward to seeing the student's work at the Library. This has been a plan of mine for a couple of years now, and I'm so excited to see it come to fruition. The students work hard on these projects and they deserve to be seen,' said Lori Cox, OCLAC director said. 'Please come view these great projects.'
The Showcase will open on Monday, April 17 with a reception throughout the day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and remain open through Friday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. Floral Design projects will be delivered to the library on Thursday and can be viewed Thursday and Friday.
