Smokey the Bear visits Newcastle ISD

Smokey the Bear and the Newcastle Volunteer Fire Department [NVFD] visited Mrs. Joanna Manos’s pre-Kindergarten class at Newcastle Elementary School. The children were smiling ear to ear and listening to Smokey very carefully during the visit. Smokey and the team from the Texas A&M Forest Service joined with the NVFD for a fire safety class recently at Newcastle ISD. The team included: (T denotes Texas A&M Forest Service Team) Smokey Bear-T, Angel Lopez Portillo-T, Bryce Bates-T, Mike Tilton-T, Brady Medlin-T, Christian Chapla, Teresa Jones, Cami Jones, Ronnie Short, Dave Hoover and Cora Christofferson.
