Hospital board cancels election; certifies candidates

Five unopposed candidates for the board of Olney Hamilton Hospital got good news at the Feb.25 meeting: The board approved their certification as board members and canceled the May elections. The five candidates were all incumbents whose terms expired in May.

They are Olney residents Bob Craig, board vice president; Cub Drug Store owner and pharmacist Randy Whitmire; Ron Rogers of Rogers Drilling Company and Lyndsey Miller, the Olney Chamber of Commerce’s vice president of finance. Newcastle resident Rita Choat also reclaimed her board seat.
