President’s Charity Ball was a black-tie affair

On Feb. 26, the Graham Country Club hosted its annual Presidents Charity Ball [PCB]. The PCB was first organized in 1988 by members of the Graham Country Club to give back to local charities, having raised $580,000 for local charities.

Allie Proctor is the chair of the 2022 PCB, and with the help of the committee members, the PCB hosted a black-tie affair. The theme for the night was an evening in the French Alps with mu sic performed by the Motion Band. Guests were encouraged to wear tuxedoes and evening gowns. The Ball began with cocktails and photos, then moved to fine dining and a live auction. The guests appeared to enjoy everything from dining to dancing, not to mention the cocktails. The evening ended around 1 a.m.

Charities benefiting from this year’s Ball were Albert Road Art House, which supplies school art supplies; BackPack Buddies who send backpacks of food for weekend meals to students; Meals on Wheels, which delivers meals to the homes of senior citizens, the Young County Child Welfare Board, and the Warrior Ranch, which offers recreational areas and facilities for veterans and Gold Star families.
