Olney Chamber of Commerce Brings Christmas Cheer with Performance by Olney Community Theater

On November 18, the Olney Chamber of Commerce held its quarterly luncheon. The Chamber luncheon was sponsored by Stewart’s Grocery Store. Chamber members gathered at Hometown Coffee and Tea to enjoy a gourmet lunch and a special reading from an upcoming play.

The reading was from “A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play,” and performed by the Olney Community Theater. The troupe performing the play will perform many different roles during the performance as it was done during a typical radio play performed in the 1940s. For additional information on the play; call the FBCO office at 940-564-5594 to reserve your tickets. Proceeds will benefit the Ministry of Helps food pantry. Performances will be Saturday, December 11 at 7 pm and Sunday, December 12 at 2:30 pm and 7 pm. Tickets are $10. The performances will be held in the FBCO fellowship hall.

Deidre Brown, Director of the Olney Chamber of Commerce said, “Our next community event will be on Sunday, November 28. We’re having our mistletoe market vendor events and our Christmas tree lighting. The mistletoe market starts at 4 pm and goes to 7 pm on that night, with the tree lighting starting at 6pm. There’ll be carriage rides, s’mores, lots of shopping and just good Christmas family fun.”
