Just like the famed Nero, (who fiddled while Rome burned-meaning he stood by as Rome fell to ruin, literally), so too is the United States President, Joe Biden. I have always been one to state you don’t have to respect the sitting president, but you should respect the office of the president.

For the first time since I can remember, I am actually embarrassed of the United States President. Our country is sliding down into the muck as our president sits idle watching. Usually in this situation, something could be done to stall a poor choice of president, but in this case the United States is truly in a dire situation as the House and Senate are both controlled by the ever more liberal and socialist democratic party.

Bullies always pick on the weak and those who do not fight back. I am afraid that most bullies of the world are now looking to the U.S. and seeing an abundance of weakness. The once shining light on the hill is being reduced to a flickering candle, soon to be extinguished.

How did this nation of lions become a nation of sheep? This nation has turned into a herd of sheep being marched right off the cliff into oblivion. The time will come soon, I’m afraid, when we as a nation will have to make hard choices. The time to wake is now, before this once proud nation who protected the world’s freedom is no more.

It seems that Rome is burning, and as long as the part of Rome that is burning is not our part of Rome burning, then we continue to sleep. The time to put out a fire is when it first starts, unfortunately the U.S. is now caught in an inferno. I hope in 4 years the sheep are eaten by the lions and we take our country back before we slide into the abyss.
