OHH/Carter BloodCare join together to host blood drive
On April 7, The Olney Hamilton Hospital (OHH) partnered with - and hosted - Carter BloodCare in a blood drive held inside the hospital’s education building. Over 135 patients can now be helped thanks to the blood donated by the 45 donors.
According to their website carterbloodcare.org, blood type O donations are in high demand right now with the current blood shortage being “the worst in decades.”
If you are thinking about donating but would like to know more about the process and what you can do to prepare for your donation, please go online to carterbloodcare.org - click on Blood Facts - and then click on Blood Donation Process.
“Hamilton Hospital is one of the beneficiaries of blood given through Carter BloodCare and the next drive is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6,” stated chairman Dale Lovett.
