On November 17, Olney Junior High [OJH] cast and crew of “Leading Ladies” travelled to Quanah to compete in the University Interscholastic League [UIL] One Act Play [OAP] competition. The OJH OAP cast and crew walked away winning first place.
The City of Olney has been proactive with informing residents about Olney’s business matters, such as the need to replace the antiquated water treatment plant and the repealed Ordinance No. 89-21 that previously prohibited aboveground storage of propane or butane.

Thanksgiving is celebrated each November in the United States and each October in Canada. People traditionally gather around the dinner table flanked by friends and extended members of their families to give thanks for the blessings they enjoyed throughout the year as they dig into a delicious feast.
On Nov. 9, The Young County Republicans hosted their weekly meeting with guest speaker, U.S. Congressman for Texas District 25, Roger Williams. District 25 is a newly formed district stretching from Young County south to the Hill Country near Austin.
