A group of Wall Street Journal alumnae has chosen the Olney Enterprise, among other small-town newspapers, as a pilot project for its Local News AdvisoryTeam [LNAT] initiative to bolster local news outlets and prevent more “news deserts” from developing in rural America.
PK-based producers choose Olney for TV show
Employee-owners of airplane manufacturer Air Tractor, Inc. and representatives from Pratt & Whitney Canada celebrated the 1,000th model AT802. Air Tractor dealer Lane Aviation sold serial number 802A-1000 through its Brazil agent Aero Globo Aeronaves. The airplane is painted in the Brazilian flag colors of yellow, green, and blue. It recently departed Olney, Texas for its new home at Grupo Moacir Smaniotto (GMS) Agronegocios.
The Olney Chamber of Commerce held the 96th Annual Chamber Banquet – one of the most popular and upscale events of the year – at the Main Room on Jan. 19. The Banquet raises much-needed funds the Chamber will use all year but, more importantly, recognizes businesses and individuals for their outstanding service to the community.
