On Saturday Jan. 28, the OHS CX Debate team traveled to Midway High School in Waco to compete in an invitational meet. Competing against various 3A, 4A, and 5A schools, the teams from Olney still placed high among the ranks.
On Jan. 23, the Olney Cubs went to Vernon, to participate in their first Powerlifting meet of the year. The Cubs only had one returning competitor this year, Ricco Sandoval.
Olney Robotics traveled to Grapevine Saturday, Jan. 25, to compete at the FiT-North A&G Tournament. Olney placed 32nd out of 33 teams while still breaking the team scoring record.
Nonprofit organizations that provide Meals on Wheels services across Texas are sounding the alarm about potential funding cuts due to a federal grant freeze and a proposed state policy that would allow for-profit companies to compete for meal service contracts.
