Carol Glover’s spring recital was held Sunday, May 7 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Olney. The program comprised costume duets, solos and duets.
City sends out trucks for Clean-Up Week
Parents of Olney Elementary School students can cross school supplies off their back-to-school shopping lists next fall — those items will be bought, paid for, and distributed through a new program sponsored by the Parent-Teacher Organization, Olney ISD, and the HOPE Backpack Project, said PTO President and OISD Trustee Summer Branum.
The City Council approved on final reading an ordinance that allows homeowners who are remodeling their homes to live on-site in recreational vehicles for up to a year at a time. The ordinance, requested by Clifford Williams Jr., passed at the April 24 Council meeting. Mr. Williams is remodeling at 814 S. Avenue C and wants to live in his RV while he fixes up the house.
