Piano Recital at Presbyterian Church
Carol Glover’s spring recital was held Sunday, May 7 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Olney. The program comprised costume duets, solos and duets.
In the Costume Duets, Caroline and Mae Stewart performed “The Sombrero Song” by Bober and Miles and Jessa Branum performed Bober’s “The Pirate Ship.”
Following Costume Duets, were solos and duets performed by the following students: Ava Stewart “When I Was Your Man” by Mars/Faber and “Gymnpedie” by Satie/Reeves; Isabel Piegat, Flute – “Summer Nocturne” by F. Weber; Jackson Kidd “Bagatelle, Opus 5, No. 1” by Tcherepnin; Chandler Todd “Stuck on C” by Vandall, “Broken Record Boodie” by Kraehenbuehl and the traditional version of “Saints Go Marching In”; Benjamin Todd “Flying Frisbee” by Bastien and the traditional version of “She’ll Be Coming ‘Round the Mountain”; Tillee Bardwell “Senorita Elisa” by Beethoven/K. Olson; Leo Branum “Puppy Dog” by Gillock, Hymn Medley: by Faber and “Come See the Parade” by Faber; Caroline Stewart “Beauty & The Beast” by Menken/ Faber and Starlight Sonatina,” movt 1 by Kramer; Ethan Piegat “The Lion Roars” by Perdew and “I Just Can’t Wait
to Be King” by Elton John/Rejino; Isabel Piegat “Sonatina, Opus 27, No. 18 movt 1” by Kabalevsky and “A French Waltz” by Rocherolle; Miles Branum “The Entertainer” by Joplin/Bober; Jessa Branum “Ballerina” by Stevens; Carson Kidd “Cool Walkin’” by Bober and “Wild Horse Round-up” by Alexander; Mae Stewart “Ladybug Lullaby” by Mier; Lucas Todd- Stewart’s Texas Sonatina: Movement 1: “Statehood”, Movement 2: “Farms & Ranches” and Movement 3: “Black Gold”; Jayden Harrell “Jazz ‘n’ Java” by Bober and “Pomp & Circumstance” by Elgar.
The concert finale was “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey/Bober performed by the Quartet comprising Jayden Harrell, Jackson Kidd, Tillee Bardwell and Lucas Todd.
